Unable to select 'Add Message' as a root property on the advanced tab associated with the diagram.

When selecting an existing Message component, the Item Definition Ref property's value is the 'toString' of the ItemDefinition object rather than its name.

Fixed. Also reduced the Advanced Tab context menu to include only those elements that are actually enabled by the "Tool Enablement" preferences.

Verified. However not sure where the 'Tool Enablement' preferences are?

Tool Enablements are configurable as project properties (preferences). Right-click on the project, then Properties->BPMN2->Tool Enablement.
