Following on bug 333102, tomcat 7 (from 7.0.24) will provide all the necessary classes to make the "Serve modules without publishing" feature work out of the box, provided the correct xml configuration is specified.

WTP should be updated to make use of this feature for versions >= 7.0.24
The necessary tomcat config is here (snapshot doc for the moment, since 7.0.24 has not been released yet) : http://ci.apache.org/projects/tomcat/tomcat7/docs/config/context.html#Virtual_webapp

I don't mean to nag, but is there any progress on this issue? It has been 10 months since the last update. I can confirm this problem still exists using WTP 3.4 and Tomcat 7.0.29. It would be great if this could be fixed again.
