Build Identifier: Eclipse reads pictures [imageIO.read(new File("image.bmp"))] from outside the bin folder and from within another file (two different bin folders). I rewrote the file that was reading the images from the inside to be the same as the file that was reading from the outside, and it is still reading the images from the inside - and vise versa for the other file. All I know is that I kept getting a nullpointException. I had been using the class file to draw and write images, then tried using it to read images. I don't believe the error lies in the very basic functions I used, as I tried to recreate the error. I would think that the error like in Eclipse's packaging techniques - but I don't know what those are. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
The class file that would only read images from within it's bin folder required no public class nor a java.policy.applet file. When I recreated it in another class file (another bin) public class name and constructor error came up and I was unable to delete the java.policy.applet as it was recreated on run/compile time.
ok I had the who files mixed up - but everything else is right.
(In reply to comment #2) > ok I had the who files mixed up - but everything else is right. So are you still having problems or no?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
