The "Check syntax only (-fsyntax-only)" option for the GNU Fortran Compiler toolchain (in the Symbols category) sets the -fcase-lower option on the compiler command line.  Since this option is also listed (correctly) under Warnings, and it doesn't make sense under Symbols, it should probably be removed from the Symbols category.

Fixed in ptp_5_0 and HEAD
