Build Identifier: Build id: M20110909-1335

Whilst logged into RTC in the Work Items perspective. In the Team Artifacts tab, you can right click resources (e.g. work items, plans, etc.) to perform a New. The new dialog never appears.
If you close RTC connection and all related tabs, the right click New starts to work again.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open work items perspective
2. Open RTC objects like plans, tasks, etc.
3. Right click Work Items->New in Team Artifacts
Note: Using RTC plugin:
Rational Team Concert Client Feature	3.0.0.RTC-I20101112-1731

Not clear to me how this bug is caused by Eclipse. I suggest you open a defect with RTC. You may want to check your workspace's error log and see if you find anything there.

Maybe you are right that the problem is with the RTC plugin. But the symptom shows up in Eclipse. e.g. doing a new script in PHP or Java perspective fails until all RTC related tabs are closed.

Also, sorry to sound dumb, but how do I log a defect with RTC?

We cannot comment without more information.
