Description Karsten Thoms CLA 2011-12-01 09:29:40 EST
The API used in org.eclipse.xtext.xtend2.standalone (so far) is already available in Xtext 2.1.0, but requirements for o.e.xtext, o.e.x.xtend2 and o.e.x.xtend2.lib are at least 2.2.0.

Please lower the requirements to 2.1.0 to allow usage of the Xtend2 standalone compiler for Xtext 2.1 users.

What API do you mean?
Comment 2 Sven Efftinge CLA 2011-12-01 09:34:25 EST
(Assuming you mean everything.)

We can't effort testing to make sure that we don't use new API in the standalone compiler plugin.
It might be the case that it would work with Xtend 2.1 today. But how should we know it will tomorrow?
