I found this issue when I was trying to fix a bug for compare editor. The behavior is different on Chrome 15 and FireFox 8.0. Chrome: 1.Open a file in editor 2.Go to navigator from the editor page. 3.Come back to editor page by browser navigation. Editor shows nothing. FireFox 1.Open navigator page. 2.Open a file in editor. 3.Use browser navigation to go back to navigator page. The editor page stuck there and I can't get back to navigator page.

(In reply to comment #2) Reopening... FWIW, I don't see the blank page using Chrome 16.

Today I hit the Chrome issue again. Seems not related to the chrome version. I wasn't able to reproduce it only because it was too fresh.
I've seen this before as well, on Chrome 15. Will upgrade and try to notice a pattern.
OK, I lied on the call: I see this too, and it's a blank editor, not a whole blank page. It looks like textView.setText() is getting called, but the editor never appears... No errors in the log

Fixed, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=364985#c14 for details.
I've verified the latest code, the issue is gone for both edtor and compare editor.
