Description libing wang CLA 2011-11-29 14:23:19 EST
I found this issue when I was trying to fix a bug for compare editor.
The behavior is different on Chrome 15 and FireFox 8.0.
Chrome:
1.Open a file in editor
2.Go to navigator from the editor page.
3.Come back to editor page by browser navigation.

Editor shows nothing.

FireFox
1.Open navigator page.
2.Open a file in editor.
3.Use browser navigation to go back to navigator page.

The editor page stuck there and I can't get back to navigator page.

Hmm, not sure. Chrome behaves differently but still weird.

Reopening... FWIW, I don't see the blank page using Chrome 16.

Yeah, I upgraded to Chrome 16 and the issue disappeared.

Today I hit the Chrome issue again. Seems not related to the chrome version.
I wasn't able to reproduce it only because it was too fresh.

I've seen this before as well, on Chrome 15. Will upgrade and try to notice a pattern.

OK, I lied on the call: I see this too, and it's a blank editor, not a whole blank page.

It looks like textView.setText() is getting called, but the editor never appears...

No errors in the log

that's what I've seen. Pressing reload fixes the problem.

I've verified the latest code, the issue is gone for both edtor and compare editor.
