Description Tom Chiverton CLA 2011-11-29 05:16:39 EST
Build Identifier: M20110210-1200

I have a Trac repository using Web as the access type.

When I go to create a new query, the Component/version/milestone lists are empty, even after pressing 'update attributes from repository' and closing and reopening both the edit query window and eclipse itself.

I see a HTTP request to our Trac host, initially returning a 401 error, then another attempt with a Authorization header. The body of the 2nd reply contains

 <script type="text/javascript">
      var properties={"cc":{"label":"Cc","type":"text"},"changetime":{"label":"Modified","type":"time"},"client":{"label":"Client+campaign","type":"text"},"component":{"label":"Component","options":["Administrator","Campaign options","Database","Docs and help","Email (batch)","Email (test)","Email editor","File upload","Forms and Surveys","Lists","Locking","Login and user management","Replies","Reports","Skin","Tracking","Widgets","other"],"type":"select"},"description":{"label":"Description","type":"textarea"},"id":{"label":"Ticket","type":"id"},"keywords":{"label":"Keywords","type":"text"},"milestone":{"label":"Milestone","options":["PoC","Internal Beta 1 Release","Beta 2 Release","Static layout","Al\'s Changes","User Settings","Reports","Admin tasks","Messenger alpha 1","Reports rc1","Design/experience review","Feature parity","Final polish","Friday afternoon","Messenger Features","Report designer"],"type":"select"},"owner":{"label":"Owner","options":["$USER","aapostolache","simonhill","tomchiverton"],"type":"select"},"priority":{"label":"Priority","options":["blocker","critical","major","minor","trivial"],"type":"select"},"releasenote":{"label":"Release note","type":"textarea"},"reporter":{"label":"Reporter","type":"text"},"resolution":{"label":"Resolution","options":["fixed","invalid","wontfix","duplicate","unabletoreplicate"],"type":"radio"},"status":{"label":"Status","options":["accepted","assigned","closed","new","reopened"],"type":"radio"},"summary":{"label":"Summary","type":"text"},"time":{"label":"Created","type":"time"},"type":{"label":"Type","options":["defect","enhancement","task"],"type":"select"},"version":{"label":"Version","options":["3.0 (Flash)","2.0 (current live)"],"type":"select"}};
      var modes={"id":[{"name":"is","value":""},{"name":"is not","value":"!"}],"select":[{"name":"is","value":""},{"name":"is not","value":"!"}],"text":[{"name":"contains","value":"~"},{"name":"doesn\'t contain","value":"!~"},{"name":"begins with","value":"^"},{"name":"ends with","value":"$"},{"name":"is","value":""},{"name":"is not","value":"!"}],"textarea":[{"name":"contains","value":"~"},{"name":"doesn\'t contain","value":"!~"}]};
    </script>

which I assume is what you are parsing.

Reproducible: Always

When I validate the repository, it requests a number of files, finally hits on the right URL and at the foot of the retrieved page it says it's v0.12.2:

....
<div id="footer" lang="en" xml:lang="en"><hr />
      <a id="tracpowered" href="http://trac.edgewall.org/"><img src="/extravision/chrome/common/trac_logo_mini.png" height="30" width="107" alt="Trac Powered" /></a>
      <p class="left">Powered by <a href="/extravision/about"><strong>Trac 0.12.2</strong></a><br />
....

Please try again with the latest weekly build available from this update site: http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/snapshots/weekly. That build has fixes for bug 354179. Please let me know if this also fixes the problems you are experiencing.

I added the update URL and did a check for updates. Eclipse moans:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
  Software being installed: Mylyn Task List 3.7.0.I20111124-1030 (org.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group 3.7.0.I20111124-1030)
  Missing requirement: Mylyn Tasks Core 3.7.0.I20111124-1030 (org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.core 3.7.0.I20111124-1030) requires 'package com.sun.syndication.feed 0.9.0' but it could not be found
  Cannot satisfy dependency:
    From: Mylyn Task List 3.7.0.I20111124-1030 (org.eclipse.mylyn_feature.feature.group 3.7.0.I20111124-1030)
    To: org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.core [3.7.0.I20111124-1030]

Thanks for pointing that out. I have added the missing bundle and triggered a new build. Can you try installing again? If it still fails try adding the Helios update site and select "Contact all update sites..." under Install New Software.

Looks like the update fixes things.

Do you have an ETA for the full release ?
Comment 7 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-12-01 06:55:16 EST
Thanks for verifying. We have tentatively set end of February as the release date for Mylyn 3.7. That said, I consider the weekly build stable and wouldn't have any concerns running on that.
