I changed my committer password several times today in order to test EGit bug 356233. Looks like I could successfully fix this bug but it seems during my tests I lost access to the mylyn reviews git repository I should have committer permissions for. git fetch ssh://msohn@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/mylyn/org.eclipse.mylyn.reviews.git hangs forever, though earlier today it worked. I can logon to the Eclipse portal with my current committer password so it's not that I lost track of what my current committer password is.
I see a bunch of these in the logs: Nov 24 17:51:14 sshd[25161]: Failed password for msohn from xx.xx.xx.xx Which in turn tripped the brute force detection system. I've cleared the block so you should be ok now. -M.
I just re-tried to fetch via ssh git fetch ssh://msohn@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/mylyn/org.eclipse.mylyn.reviews.git but this again hangs before I get a chance to enter the password
Can you send me your IP(either here or via email), and I'll go digging again. -M.
My IP address is currently 192.168.178.27
LOL! Mine is 127.0.0.1 and I can't reach the Internets! :)
Are you still experiencing this? If so please visit http://whatsmyip.org and send me the results. -M.
block seems to be gone, I am able to access the repository via ssh again
