The tree view of the search result was originally implemented for the convenience of seeing thing by group and supporting group filtering. But it is strange combining with pagination. I will just flat view as default but if user really want it they can switch to it by option.

Flat list uses all the leaf nodes in the tree model.
We should use the original list from server.

Also we are using original list from server for flat view.

PS. I did not remove the tree view option from UI just for rare use cases.
The good thing is you will always see the flat list unless you switched to tree and left but later on you come to the same URL again.
The view status of flat/tree  is cached in the session of the same search URL.
