Build Identifier: 3.5.2.R35x_v20100210-0800-9hEiFzmFst-TiEn9hNYgDWg1XN8ulH_JvCNGB A developer should be able to mark a region uneditable/immutable so she/he can focus on editing on a specific region. A visual cue for such region could be darkened background. For example, if I am writing a function in a file which is also being worked on by another remote developer, I will mark the whole file except the function I am working on as immutable. Then it will be like editing a whole file with all the all the functionalities of eclipse only applicable to my editable region. Now when I push this file, there will be little chance of accidental merge conflict etc. Of course, this can be done with a little discipline, but it would be a very nice feature to have. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a region in the editor 2. Mark as uneditable 3. Now cannot edit that part - it is like a read-only

The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
