Build Identifier: I am not sure if it should be possible to open the xml in diagram editor, but even if it is not possible, there should be a better error message. Fox example if I try it with Server Editor, the message is: Could not open the editor: Could not open editor because ggg.xml is not a valid server. Use Open With to open this file with a different editor. Furthermore doing this, you could not open the Diagram in the normal way anymore - there is a NPE thrown Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a JPA 1.0 project 2. Open/Close the diagram in order to create diagrams folder and xml 3. Go to diagrams folder and right click the generated xml. Select Open With -> Other -> JPA Diagram Editor Result: Could not open the editor: An exception was thrown during initialization

Just a little remark: to open the diagram in a normal way, just select Open With -> XML Editor.
