Solaris is missing libcore functionality.  I was able to easily compile it from
the Linux source.  The problem is I have some plugins that need to change files
to readOnly and back and it only seems to be supported with libcore.

Currently for platforms other than Win32 and Linux (MacOSX and QNX) we have non-
Platform/Core people contributing this library as a fragment. They have commit 
rights on dev.eclipse.org and update the libraries accordingly and submit their 
changes to the build process.

Would you be interested in:
- contributing your library to a fragment on dev.eclipse.org?
- maintaining the library code? (which includes bug fixes and renaming if 
necessary)
