When performing configuration changes like adding products and components to the Bugzilla installation (web interface), it is required to synchronize the repository configuration prior to opening tasks/bugs that use the new products/components.

The synchronization of the repository configuration should be a part of the automatic task synchronization, which is available on the query properties menu (Synchronize Automatically).

A similar synchronization mechanism should be deployed on a repository basis, or intelligence to do that base on task content (i.e. a product/component, etc.. that does not exist int he current configuration) should trigger an automatic synchronization.
