Description Uwe Stieber CLA 2011-11-03 03:21:51 EDT
We started a committer election via the MyFoundation portal for the "tools.cdt.tcf" project. It turned out that the portal did not sent out any notification eMail neither to the individual committers nor to the projects mailing list http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/tcf-dev/. We had to notify the committer manually about the committer election. This isn't good. At least the individual committers should receive a notification eMail.
Comment 1 Martin Oberhuber CLA 2011-11-03 03:24:23 EDT
It's also problematic because AFAIK the EDP requires result of the election to be E-Mailed for posterity (ML archives), we hope the portal can be fixed before the election is over.
Comment 2 Wayne Beaton CLA 2011-11-03 05:43:59 EDT
The project mailing list's name is specified as tcf-dev@eclipse.org in the project metadata. It should just be tcf-dev. If you update this, it should work from here on.

Can you post a notice regarding the ongoing election in the mailing list manually?
Comment 3 Martin Oberhuber CLA 2011-11-03 08:40:12 EDT
Done - I'll leave the bug open until we see results of the election sent to tcf-dev .
Comment 4 Martin Oberhuber CLA 2011-11-16 15:08:53 EST
I didn't see the results of that election sent out to the tcf-dev mailing list, so the problem may still be open ... can other TCF committers confirm ?
Comment 5 Wayne Beaton CLA 2011-11-16 23:12:05 EST
The real test will be with the next election. The incorrect mailing list was captured in the election record and was used for all subsequent communication.
Comment 6 Wayne Beaton CLA 2011-12-12 23:45:24 EST
I'm closing this as FIXED. Reopen if the problem manifests again.
