After restarting eclipse ide theme(Window>preference>General>appearance) is not getting appeared on ide.
It works for default theme. But if you change theme and restart eclipse then it is disappearing.

Can you clarify what version you are using? Indigo SR1? Juno M2?

And, sorry to ask for "extra work" but it'd be helpful to know if you see this only with Java EE package? Or other packages, or "plain" eclipse SDK?

(I've not tried to reproduce, but thought I'd ask for these clarifications first.)

Thanks.

Hi David,
I am getting this problem on both "eclipse-jee-juno-M2-win32" and "eclipse-SDK-4.2M2-win32" packages.

Platform -Windows XP(32 bit)

Thanks

Moving to platform UI.

I tried this on Linux, and it seemed to work. At least fonts and colors, there might have been a change in border widths, but hard to "see" the few pixel differences. That's with Mint 11.

I'll try on Windows 7 ... but, I don't have an XP Machine any more (well, not easily).

This "works for me", using Eclipse SDK from M2, Windows 7, 64bit.

I did have a fresh workspace, but changed from the default "windows 7" theme to "Windows XP Olive" and it "took", both right away, and when I restarted Eclipse. Then I tried changing back to "windows 7" theme, it also took, and was persisted to next session.

If you have any other info, Manas, (such as do you have any special theme settings, for accessibility, or anything other color/theme plugins installed?) ... if not, then I guess the next step is to test on Windows XP.

I am sorry the first theme was "Windows 7 classic" not "Xp olive"(in the attachment file). Please take a note.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
