It has become a convention that folks update their bugzilla bug with the http link for the commit in the orion repository. But there's no way to get that link from orion. You have to visit the orion repo page and grab it. Simple solution: somewhere in the log/commit details, provide a read-only link to the commit in the remote. Then I could copy it and paste it into a bug. In bug 335914 comment 3 John suggested being smarter - recognizing a bug in a commit message and updating the bug when the commit is pushed. I'd be happy with the simple solution for now and it would save everyone a manual step.
It seems to be similar to bug 370706. There is no easy way to map commit URL in our local clone to commit URL on Git provider. We need something that maps these URLs.
I was thinking today that we could just do a related page link from the commit page that links to the commit on eclipse.org or github. I'll take a look.
Szymon envisions something better, I'll open a clone to get the related pages in. At least then I could copy the link from the menu.
