Description Dean Roberts CLA 2011-10-26 10:14:59 EDT
1) Open Java Perspective
2) Detach the Package Explorer
3) Attempt to detach the package Explorer again and drop it in another location on the desktop (ie, click and hold the ctab and drag to desktop until you get green outline, release mouse button)
4) Detached view and window disappear. No stack trace is generated.

Interesting variant which will help isolate the problem.

1) Detach a ctab stack like the Problems, Javadoc, Declaration stack

You can subsequently detach a single Ctab from this stack and drop it on the desktop. When you get down to a window with a single ctab view in it, and attempt to detach it, all the windows will disappear.
