Description Paul Fullbright CLA 2011-10-18 11:29:20 EDT
When a mapped class extends a class annotated with @XmlTransient, it applies its access type to the fields and properties of the transient class, and any resulting mapped attributes (default or specified) are included with its own attributes. As of now, there is no good way to validate these attributes.

(They are similar to the "virtual" attributes of JPA orm.xml files.)
