Description Daniel U. Thibault CLA 2011-10-11 16:38:37 EDT
LTTng stands for "Linux Trace Toolkit Next Generation", not "Linux Tracing Toolkit Next Generation" (although the latter is better English). Google instances of the latter form are in a minority by far (roughly 13,000 to 40).

This needs to be fixed in http://wiki.eclipse.org/Linux_Tools_Project/LTTng/User_Guide (Introduction) and http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/summitfall2010 (Agenda). There are no other instances of "Linux Tracing Toolkit Next Generation" in wiki.eclipse.org, although there are a number on www.eclipse.org and dev.eclipse.org.

It's a wiki. We really encourage people to fix such things themselves, it's way faster and easier this way.

Yes, I know it's a wiki, but a weird one. There is no way to create an account on it (that I could find), and the FAQ seems to indicate the only way to edit it is to submit bug reports!

I'm willing to be proven wrong...Where is the wiki sign-up page hidden?

Haha, I never thought about it this way :). It is authenticating using Bugzilla credentials. So you can use your Bugzilla account to login (and you already have yours).

Good grief, I've just found the bloody Edit button. It's "hidden" in the left hand palette, under the "Packaging/Distribution Projects" heading. That is just so not obvious!
