running orion.eclipse.org, 0.2.0.v20110930-2159 I have changes that include binary file additions/deletions/replacements as well as code changes. (not sure this matters). If I check the "Unstaged" checkbox and push "Stage Selected" nothing happens (nothing is staged). I had to go click every individual stage command on the files in order to commit.
There was nothing in the console when the stage selected failed. I'm not sure the server request was ever sent.
This works fine to me (the bleeding edge of client and server, running on localhost). Steps I used to reproduce (actually to fail to reproduce): git checkout 6beb8c215d26d2fc1be70c55972060458c455272 // Simon's change just before yours ("Merge branch..." git checkout -b bug359730 git merge --squash 26faf29135ae8c557bfabcad051f9250491947bc // your change i.e. "Bug 358617 - new icons for 0.3" git reset HEAD -- . // unstage all These got me to the position you had when trying to stage. So, then I switched to Orion Git Status (the status was identical as in bug 359730, attachment 204455 [details]) and checked the "Unstage" and pressed "Stage Selected". All changes were staged.
