The View template which can be added via the WindowBuilder (SWT Designer) contains the following three methods:

createActions();
initializeToolBar();
initializeMenu();

It would be great if these methods and calls could be removed as I believe Actions are deprecated in Eclipse 4.x and IMHO we should not advice using them.

Actions are portable between Eclipse 3.x and 4.x and are still used by much of Eclipse, so we will probably keep this as-is for now. We will look at a patch, if you would like to submit one.

Closing as won't fix. I personally do not care anymore about Eclipse 3.x
