In our SWT repository, we have a number of files with 755 permission (binaries, build files etc). When we import these into EGit, they immediately show up as modified files.

If we do a compare with HEAD, nothing has changed. If we run a git status from the command line git, nothing has changed.

All of our files with 644 permissions work as expected.
