Build Identifier: I20110916-1615

I have Counterclockwise 0.3.0.STABLE002 and Xtext 2.0.1 installed.

Right after installing Xtext, I cannot open any file (.java, .clj, ...) in the any Eclipse Editor, including Java Editor, Text Editor. However "System Editor" works fine (launches gedit in my system).

I'm not sure if there's anything wrong with Xtext SDK, but probably the installation of Xtext and/or Counterclockwise triggered this bug. Xtext 2.0.1 works just perfect with Eclipse 3.7 BTW.

Counterclockwise seem to trigger this bug. Closing a Clojure project seems to "fix" the issue.

I installed Counterclockwise first but was unable to reproduce the problem. Will start installing Xtext now.

Hi Hendy, after installing Xtext, I tried to open a clj file and the editor did indeed not open properly.

However, the error I got was not like yours. I got a NoSuchFieldError which someone seems to have opened a month ago. Perhaps this is the same error you're having?

Counterclockwise seems to use ANTLR 3.0 but Xtext wants ANTLR 3.2. I suspect Counterclockwise doesn't define a hard dependency on 3.0 and is using using classes from the 3.2 jar.

Hendy, if you find more information that indicates this is a specific problem that's caused by Eclipse 4. Please do not hesitate to reopen this bug with the new information.

Not being able to open editors is a showstopper for using Eclipse for development so I immediately wanted to figure out the cause so that you (our users) can get back to work instead of fighting the tool. :)
