Description Randall Becker CLA 2011-09-22 22:59:17 EDT
Build Identifier: 3.6.2 M20110210-1200

Mylyn 3.4 would provide a field for selecting a target milestone. This capability has disappeared in 3.6.1. The Target Milestone does appear in the Attribute Composite after the task has been added and contains the expected values, but we're used to being able to specifying milestones when the task is created. Our Bugzilla version is 3.6

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Define products with milestones in Bugzilla 3.6
2. Select New Task from Mylyn 3.6.1
3. New Task editor will show custom fields but will not show Target Milestone
Comment 1 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-09-23 04:23:54 EDT
Can you check if "Target milestone" is selected on the properties page of the task repository under Additional settings? It should be unchecked.

Do you know when the field disappeared for you (e.g. a Mylyn update)?
Comment 2 Randall Becker CLA 2011-09-23 07:20:32 EDT
The Target Milestone was present at Mylyn 3.4 and disappeared (yesterday) when upgrading to Mylyn 3.6.1. The repository setting for Target Milestone (in Task Repository) was disabled after the upgrade. I enabled it, but that made no difference to the condition in the New Task editor - Target Milestone still missing.
Comment 3 Steffen Pingel CLA 2011-09-23 07:28:49 EDT
The Target Milestone field needs to be deselected in the settings otherwise it is hidden. Can you try unchecking it again?

Frank, we need to test this migration path to ensure that the setting is properly handled.
Comment 4 Randall Becker CLA 2011-09-23 07:32:36 EDT
Steffen: Unchecking "Target Milestone" in the Task Repository properties after checking it bought the Target Milestone field back.
Comment 5 Frank Becker CLA 2012-03-09 13:37:38 EST
Steffen,

what can we do for 3.8?

I can not reproduce this.

This is an workaround.
