Build Identifier: 20110615-0604 If the internet connection fails or times out during a save of a file or files of a remote systems php project -- any file actively being saved is deleted on the host. Occasionally, the file is truncated. The eclipse editor hangs until it throws a timeout exception. When this occurs, if the connection cannot be reestablished, the file on the host side is truncated to zero bytes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a remote systems explorer pointing to a remote host. Select SSH properties for connection. Navigate to PHP project on host. Select "Create Remote Project" from host connection. 2.Save a file with an unstable internet connection that may fade and disconnect during the save process. 3.Once the connection is re-established, view the file. It will be empty or possibly truncated
Anybody have a chance to look at this?
Forget about it. After several frustrating sessions dealing with a spotty internet connection and at least waiting for somebody to deal with synchronization issues on your end - plus other hangs (myLyn php proposal computer timing seems to be another ignored issue) I've given up and actually have to pay for software. When I have the time - I will look into it and catch the obvious error. Lesson: Even if it's free, why bother to develop phoned in, half baked software. Close this bug, don't care.
