Felipe and I both encountered this problem using orion.eclipse.org: 1. Log in to orion.eclipse.org, clone the Orion client repo, create a new self-hosting site. 2. Launch the site, which just happens to get the URL http://site.orion.eclipse.org:8080 and log in. 3. My web browser has some extremely old localStorage data for http://site.orion.eclipse.org:8080, which is used when I log in and causes the JavaScript validation feature to break. 4. On the Plugins page, I can see the service causing the problem: > http://site.orion.eclipse.org:8080/jslintPlugin.html > Services > orion.edit.validator > Properties (empty) 4. After clicking "Reload", it updates and is correct: > http://site.orion.eclipse.org:8080/jslintPlugin.html > Services > orion.edit.validator > Properties > pattern = \.js$ Is there anything we can do to improve this case? Changing the details of internal Orion services does not seem like the kind of thing end users should have to deal with. I expect that orionhub.org users will hit similar bugs after site upgrades.
Correction to Comment 0: "Reload" is not sufficient to fix the problem. Sometimes you have to actually Uninstall & Reinstall a plugin to get the correct service attributes.
