Where can I find the help jars? -M.
They're listed in bug 348355 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=348355#c51
All the jars on that bug were added yesterday: Sep 19 14:00 org.eclipse.jdt.doc.isv_3.7.1.r371_20110831.jar Sep 19 14:00 org.eclipse.jdt.doc.user_3.7.1.r371_v20110804-1125.jar Sep 19 14:00 org.eclipse.pde.doc.user_3.7.0.v20110601-0800.jar Sep 19 14:00 org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv_3.7.1.r371_20110831.jar Sep 19 14:00 org.eclipse.platform.doc.user_3.7.0.v20110601-0800.jar Is there an extra jar we're missing? And the Helios help center shouldn't have been changed since it's SR2 release, so if you can point me where to get the missing help jar that'd be great. -M.

http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/about.html From here I can see org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv is not installed. Is there any error log that might indicate an install problem with that bundle?
I've restarted the infocenter with the -debug option but I don't see any errors. Is it possible that the new jar is version incompatible with the June release? -M.

I'm not really sure what that means. Are you asking if it has a dependency on a version of another bundle that is only present in RS1, then no. That plugin only depends on org.eclipse.help and specifies a wide range. You should be able to install it on any platform version. How are the help bundles installed? Are the SR1 help bundles just dropped into an install that already has the Indigo SR0 bundles, or does it start from a fresh install of Indigo SR1?
(In reply to comment #7) > > How are the help bundles installed? Are the SR1 help bundles just dropped into > an install that already has the Indigo SR0 bundles Yes, we also remove the older jar file. Since the updated JDT and Platform user jars are loading I suspect something is wrong with org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv_3.7.1.r371_20110831.jar . -M.

Ping.
Webmaster, is the help system installed in a file system location I can view from the shell on build.eclipse.org? I'd like to take a look at the install to see if I can find any problem.

I can certainly take a snapshot (tar.gz) of the install dir and put it somewhere for you if that works. -M.
If you could just zip up everything except the plugins/features directories that would be interesting to look at. In particular the configuration, p2, workspace directories.
Ok it's here: http://build.eclipse.org/eclipse.tgz -M.
The problem is that you have you have platform source feature installed, which includes a precise version of org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv. From the profile metadata: <unit id='org.eclipse.platform.source.feature.group' version='3.7.0.v20110530-9gF7UHNFFt4cwE-pkYDI9m0mj3NSEJkuCSEv0f' singleton='false'> <requires size='63'> ... <required namespace='org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu' name='org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv' range='[3.7.0.v20110602-0800,3.7.0.v20110602-0800]'/> This prevents you installing anything other than that exact version. I think you will need to create a fresh infocenter install based on Platform 3.7.1 so the correct version is included.
Ok, I've built a new help center from the (non-SDK) Indigo SR1 release and the plugin docs have appeared. I'll try and find some time to update the Helios install. Is this because we used the SDK, or will it 'always' be an issue? -M.

If you build the help center by installing an Eclipse SDK then this will be an issue. On the other hand, SR updates often have critical fixes in the platform and help system that are worth applying on help.eclipse.org.
This was fixed.
