HI, i use newsgroup since ages like some of our well known commiters. Since the last breakage between forum and news, my replies does not show correctly my name in forums. example : http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/239835/724980/#msg_724980 i respond using newsgroup. there is the complete message sended at the end [1]. in the web forum, my response should be attached to my account. i use the same email for both and had a correct account in forum. One possible explanation is the From: header in your NNTP post. It looks odd, possible non-standard. For comparison, my NNTP posts all map correctly to my Forums account and my NNTP headers look like this: Path: news.eclipse.org!not-for-mail From: Eric Rizzo <eclipse-bugs@rizzoweb.com> Newsgroups: eclipse.newcomer Subject: Re: Options for creating a database project Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2011 09:12:59 -0400 Organization: EclipseCorner Lines: 48 Message-ID: <j4nk7f$lum$1@news.eclipse.org> References: <j47jur$rui$1@news.eclipse.org> NNTP-Posting-Host: rrcs-97-78-107-40.se.biz.rr.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Trace: news.eclipse.org 1315918895 22486 97.78.107.40 (13 Sep 2011 13:01:35 GMT) X-Complaints-To: news@news.eclipse.org NNTP-Posting-Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2011 13:01:35 +0000 (UTC) User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110812 Thunderbird/6.0 In-Reply-To: <j47jur$rui$1@news.eclipse.org> Xref: news.eclipse.org eclipse.newcomer:42360
