Description Bouchet Stéphane CLA 2011-09-14 10:15:33 EDT
HI,

i use newsgroup since ages like some of our well known commiters.

Since the last breakage between forum and news, my replies does not show correctly my name in forums.

example :
http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/239835/724980/#msg_724980

i respond using newsgroup. there is the complete message sended at the end [1].

in the web forum, my response should be attached to my account.

i use the same email for both and had a correct account in forum.

hi,

could you be more precise on your needs ?

if you are talking about the tree/masterpage form editor, please look at
goulwen's blog, especially
http://eef-modeling.blogspot.com/2011/01/eef-09-new-cool-feature-part-i-eef.html

One possible explanation is the From: header in your NNTP post. It looks odd, possible non-standard. For comparison, my NNTP posts all map correctly to my Forums account and my NNTP headers look like this:

Yes, i can see the difference.
Can it be changed ? i use thunderbird under ubuntu .
Comment 3 Bouchet Stéphane CLA 2011-09-15 09:15:09 EDT
Solved.

for the record, i changed the my thunderbird news account setting, just by setting up my email adress( before i added also my full name )

now my account is resolved in forums.
