Since Stable Build RC1 I'm missing at the preferences of the editors in workbench:
1. The option to show the Editors drop-dawn and
2. The possibility to configure the Editor tab compression.

This feature was intentionally removed due to usability problems.

Ok, the Editors drop-down is one problem, but I'm missing the possibility to
configure the editors tab compression, too.

Marking as duplicate, however can only mark one bug.
So, Editor Drop Down is a duplicate of bug #32226, Tab Compression is a 
duplicate of bug #32789.  I will add you to the cc of both bugs.
