Eclipse refuses to initialize, reporting that it cannot find a java VM, unless it is installed on the same disk as the JavaVM.

Even if I supply -vm C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe, and put that filepath in the PATH variable, eclipse refuses to start up until its on the same hdd as the VM.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install java on C:, and Eclipse on my 3rd hdd, F:, then doubleclick eclipse.exe

What if you modify your eclipse.ini with the -vm argument and point it to the VM in question?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
