Description David Williams CLA 2011-09-10 20:28:11 EDT
I've noticed on the "epp jobs", such as indigo.epp-package-build there is a group defined for project level authorization named "ROLE_EPP-DEV", but, it has a red "do not enter" icon next to it (instead of a "group icon") and I do not see an epp-dev group on build.eclipse.org. EPP cvs is controlled by the group "technology.packaging" which makes me think the correct hudson control group might be ROLE_TECHNOLOGY.PACKAGING ... or ... is it more complicated than all that?

No, you've got the right idea.

Comment 2 David Williams CLA 2011-09-12 21:04:37 EDT
I changed ROLE_EPP-DEV to ROLE_TECHNOLOGY.PACKAGING and assigned some "committer appropriate" rights. And, added myself as one of the "administrators" to serve as Markus's back up in a pinch ... such as if he ever goes on vacation :)

Actually, I am a little surprised I could. Not sure if a "Hudson admin bit" was left on for me? ... or if security on Hudson is a little looser than I thought? ... or, just some other Hudson mystery I do not understand? But, in any case, all is well.

Thanks for mentioning that. Looks like the common group had edit permission.
