The IProject/IManagedBuildInfo objects available through the usual APIs only return the local paths for (e.g.) executables built by a synchronized project.  I need an API to access these resources on the remote system so I can query their status as part of a build/launch/process type workflow.

This issue has been addressed in bug 360661. Please see if this solves your problem, or reopen that bug if not.
