Hi,

I am setting up project page for EMF Query2 here: http://www.eclipse.org/query2/
I am facing small issue. I need to setup the background image. The image currently reads as "edit images/backgroundMainEmpty.png to create a banner that incorporates your project logo .....".

I updated images/backgroundMain.png and images/backgroundMainEmoty.png.
The new files are here: /cvsroot/org.eclipse/www/query2/images/

Even with new files the page http://www.eclipse.org/query2/ is not getting updated online.
How can i update the background image.

Regards,
Ashwani Kr Sharma

Missing stylesheet link

It looks like our tempate is missing the link to the stylesheet customizations. This patch adds it in.

FWIW, this template is just too plain hard to work with.

We have a new "project info" page [1] that can be used in place of a project page if you'd rather.

e.g. http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project.php?id=modeling.emf.query2

Hi Wayne,

The patch works.

The page: http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project.php?id=modeling.emf.query2 looks nice. I have some questions regarding it:
1- From where does it picks the description ?
2- How can i put links to downloads, update sites, tutorials, newsgroup, documentation etc ? These information was present in the template http://www.eclipse.org/query2/
3- Are other projects also moving to the new data-driven project website option ?
4- If i use the new project website option, how can disable the other website page i.e. http://www.eclipse.org/query2/

Thanks and Regards,
Ashwani Kr Sharma

Hi Wayne,

Yes the wiki page explains most of the things.
Currently the page is not picking up following values: "downloads url", "gettingstarted url", "update site url".

I need them to be included in the page.
Any plan on when it will made availaible.

Regards,
Ashwani Kr Sharma

The downloadsurl is shown in the left nav (at the bottom). The updatesiteurl is not, AFAICT, specified; if specified, it will appear in the main content area under the title of "Software Repository". The "gettingstartedurl" is also not specified in the project metadata.

I've opened Bug 360543 to add this link (when specified) to the generated project page.

Ashwani is there anything left to do here?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
