Build Identifier: Virgo Tomcat Server 3.0.0.RELEASE Hot deployment do not work by just copying the wab artifact in the pickup directory that has already been dropped. I need to remove the old war from the pickup and re-copy the same war to make the deployment work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.In the pickup directory, drop a war artifact 2.Start Virgo Tomcat Server 3.Copy the same war in the pickup directory 4.An error occurs: <HD0003E> Hot re-deploy failed for file 'kui-war-1.0.0.M5-SNAPSHOT.war'. org.eclipse.virgo.util .io.FatalIOException: Cannot move path 'C:\projects\virgo\VIRGO-~4.REL\work\org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.deployer_3.0.0.RELEASE\staging\global\bundle\kui- war\1.0.0.M5-SNAPSHOT\kui-war-1.0.0.M5-SNAPSHOT.war-past' to 'C:\projects\virgo\VIRGO-~4.REL\work\org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.deployer_3.0.0.RELEASE\stag ing\global\bundle\kui-war\1.0.0.M5-SNAPSHOT\kui-war-1.0.0.M5-SNAPSHOT.war'. Destination path already exists. 5. Re copy the same war which contains updated files, the same error occurs.
How large is the WAR file? If it's large, this may be a duplicate of bug 353490.

We don't see this behaviour. It could be that you are running into Windows file system limitations. Please could you try unzipping Virgo to the root directory of your drive and see if the problem goes away.
