Can you describe in more detail what your trying to accomplish?

You dont have menu bar because you've set it to be null in index.php in your $App->generatePage call.

I was following the guidance based on the template page and then I decided to null the toolbar instead of showing the template that says I should submit this request.  Since spending a little more time on it and thinking, I will just suspend/resolve this request and reopen if I determine we really need help with this.
