Technically, this would mean overriding org.eclipse.team.core.ProjectSetCapability.asReference(URI, String) in GitProjectSetCapability.

Tomek, you said you might help with this bug. So if no-one from EGit is interested in fixing it, maybe you could provide a patch and then someone will review it at least?

It is a blocker for bug 327381 which should be addressed for Juno, otherwise the support to fetch the source for the SDK bundles will no longer work compared to Indigo.

Guys, the change seems to become stale. How do I make Hudson to review it ? I guess passing tests is a must in order for someone to review it.

Currently the EGit verification build doesn't work and I still don't have a clue why [1].
So reviewers have to run the tests manually until this is fixed.
