Description John Arthorne CLA 2011-08-30 11:51:32 EDT
I have been unable to perform a git fetch from origin/master on orion.eclipse.org today. Every time I try, I get the following error message (500 error from server):

invalid advertisement of <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

This is fetching from a repository on the server that I haven't updated in about a month, so there is a lot of content to fetch...

This is on both Chrome 13 and FF6

Could you attach the clone you're trying to update? If it's too big, could you at least tell us what's the last commit id in that clone. Is it orion.server, orion.client or something else?
Comment 2 John Arthorne CLA 2011-08-31 08:53:17 EDT
It is orion.client repository. The last commit in the log is eb4ec28b7b92e217d221b82cecc89f4160521ba0 (July 19, 2011 from Libing). I'll see if I can zip it up. Would you just need the .git folder or the entire repo?

The entire repo would be perfect, if it's not a problem.

You should be able to access this:

http://orion.eclipse.org/file/BU/repo.zip
Comment 5 Tomasz Zarna CLA 2011-09-02 06:29:01 EDT
I get '{ HttpCode: 404, Message: "File not found: /BU/repo.zip", Severity: "Error", Code: 0 }' even after logging in. I guess your workspace has been wiped out in the meantime. Mine is empty.
Comment 6 Tomasz Zarna CLA 2011-09-30 06:04:31 EDT
John, I don't think I can do much about it without the repo. Do you mind closing the bug? Of course, you are free to reopen if something similar happens again.
Comment 7 John Arthorne CLA 2011-09-30 08:53:21 EDT
Ok, will reopen if it happens again.
