Description Wayne Beaton CLA 2011-08-25 14:04:58 EDT
We need to keep track of multiple email addresses for committers. This is especially important in cases where committers who have existing commits in a Git repository change email address.

I propose a quick and dirty hack to make this work in the short term while we work out a better long-term solution. Specifically, alternative email addresses can be represented in free-form text in the "comment" field on the People table (e.g. "alt-email:joe@someplace.com"). Multiple occurrences should be supported. This value can be entered manually (by Eclipse Foundation staff only) initially; we can explore a portal modification that will append to the field when the email address is changed there.

Solution as suggested in the description has been implemented. This should work as as stop-gap while we rework our project management infrastructure.
