Screenshot of error occurring on Mac

Today I tried to upgrade to MAT 1.1, which I use to find problems with IBM JVMs

However, after installing, I was unable to install the IBM DTFJ (Diagnostics Tools Framework for Java)

If you attempt to install the set of plugins required to view IBM JVM heapdumps, the following error occurs:

An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=DefaultProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install, operand=null --> [R]com.ibm.dtfj.api 1.5.0.201103111151, action=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.touchpoint.eclipse.actions.InstallBundleAction).
Error while loading manipulator.
Error while loading manipulator.

This means that MAT can no longer be used with IBM heapdumps.

I looked through the bug report list, and this has not been reported before, so I am assuming that the problem only occurs on Mac OS X. Otherwise, I would have expected this problem would have already been reported.

Recreating the problem is very easy - Download the 1.1 Mac version of MAT (I used 64-bit cocoa), and attempt to install the DTFJ plugins.

There were no problems with previous versions of MAT. I have reverted back to 1.0.1, which installs the IBM plugins without issue.

Thanks for reporting the problem!
I had a chance to reproduce it over the weekend. I'll look for a possible solution.

Does this problem occur with the latest level of MAT?

This is a bug reported agains 1.1. Since then there were quite some updates in both MAT and DTFJ.
In case there are still issues with the recent versions, please reopen the ticket.
