Description scort02 CLA 2011-08-18 00:38:32 EDT
Build Identifier:

I am new to eclipse. I also code in several languages (Java/C++/Android/Perl etc). Hence my confusion, which eclipse development environment should I download?
In addition, the various naming schemes do not make it easy to tell which version is most up to date (Gallileo vs. Helios). Can we get version numbers with those names

If I may, can there be just one Eclipse DE with a collection of SDKs, thus for someone like myself, I would download this one DE and add support for various languages by installing SDKs for Java/Android/Perl etc. <It took me more than 2 days to get the android skd plugin to work; way too brittle and complicated>

Thanks,
Cortes

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I go to the download page
2. I get confused
3. I return to notepad/pico and the command line

To get the latest Eclipse stuff go to http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

You should direct this comment to the Android providers.
