I tried out the "delete remote branch" capability by deleting branch "bug341395" from the Orion Git client repository. It failed with the following error:

error 500 while running opperation: remote does not support smart HTTP push

Here is the remote URL I am using:

http://git.eclipse.org/c/e4/org.eclipse.orion.client.git

This worked fine for me for a repo and a branch on github, URL: https://zaza@github.com/zaza/test.git. Do you get the same error for the Orion new location, i.e.: http://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/orion/org.eclipse.orion.server.git ?
