Build Identifier: Build id: M20100909-0800 (3.6.1) After starting a new workspace, an action called "Show Annotation" will appear in the vertical ruler context menu of a text editor such as the java editor. If you click on it, you will get the message that "The chosen operation is not enabled". That action will no longer appear in the context menu for that workspace. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a new workspace 2. Create a new Java Project 3. Create a new Java File 4. In the editor that gets opened, right click on the ruler with the line numbers 5. Click on the "Show Annotation" action
I see twice the "Show Annotation" in the ruler, one of them fails. Once selected it goes away. Dani, how can I see who is contributing the ruler actions? I guess EGit is contributing it twice, but I'm not sure.
I tried this with I20150603-2000 (RC4) and org.eclipse.egit.ui_4.0.0.201506020755-rc3 and could not reproduce it. Please reopen with steps if you see this using above or newer versions of Eclipse SDK and EGit.
