I went to open a new Bugzilla bug.  The UI presented me with a radio button option of 
   Mark as CLOSED  (and I left the default FIXED)

When I tried to select CLOSED and submit, I got an error that I did not have permission to close the bug.  

It would be nice if I was not presented with the option of closing if I am unable to execute that operation.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a bug.
2. Select Mark as CLOSED.
3. Submit.

Kaitlin, judging by your email address, wouldn't this be a Mylyn bug?  The Bugzilla UI doesn't do this.

Yes, I think it is a Mylyn bug.  The simple UI for filing bugs led me to PDE/UI (sorry, I'm new), and someone changed it to a BZ bug.   I've changed it to Mylyn/BZ.

I can not reproduce this.

For Bugzilla < 4.0 you have no radio buttons.

For newer versions we have radio buttons but not the a mark as radio button.

What Bugzilla Version and Mylyn Version did you use?

I see a Mark as CLOSED option for bugs.eclipse.org.

can you give me more information.

Do you get the Mark as CLOSED every time?

I can not reproduce this!
For new tasks there is only a way to see Actions if we use the new Bugzilla workflow but this is not the case for eclipse.org.

I'm getting Mark as CLOSED for all Eclipse.org bugs even when logged in as anonymous. Feel free to close as wontfix if we can't support this on 3.x.

I can not reproduce this!

All mylyn test repositories and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugstest, https://bugs.eclipse.org work for me.

Please feel free to reopen if you have more information.
