Build Identifier: 

If an exception is thrown during code generation using xtend2, the file stays empty. there is no error in the error log or on the console. Like this problems are hard to detect

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
create a new extend function which creates an emptyList() and tries to add something to it.

I don't understand the repro.

Please provide the complete file that illustrates the problem.
