Logout does not cause a focus loss therefore the menu contribution is not updated and stays "Logout". Only when manually loosing the focus and regaining the focus to the EMFStore Browser view the Login option appears.

The issue has been fixed by requesting the IEvaluationService to re-evaluate the property tester in ESBrowserView
