Description Hristo Iliev CLA 2011-08-04 10:42:08 EDT
See forum thread http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/229437/

Synthetic classloader (CL) is not available in web applications since Tomcat sets the web app CL as thread context CL.

One option would be to provide API to get the synthetic CL. This has a drawback that users will have to take care to restore the TCCL in finally which may not always be possible due to different lifecycles.

Another option may be to hook into Tomcat (if possible at all).
