Description i058938 CLA 2011-08-04 09:09:13 EDT
Build Identifier: 3.7

If you open any preference in the eclipse and then navigate to Manage Destination in Search Console, you will not get immediately the Gateway Destination view (see attached file).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select the gateway provider in search console
2. Click “Manage Destination” – gateway search is displayed
3. Close. Click window->preferences ->software updates. Click something and
   press OK
4. Now click “Manage Destination” – software updates are displayed, although
   the tree is correctly filtered.

There is no Manage Destination page or Gateway Destination page provided by the Eclipse SDK. It must be added by a third party plug-in. I did a search on google and could not find who provides such a page. Closing as NOT_ECLIPSE. Please file a bug against whoever provides that page.

Seems to come from some plug-in of SAP's related to search.

Hi,

The problem is reproducible with SAP's Gateway Search Plugin, but is not SAP-specific. It seems like a small usability issue in the framework itself.

When one opens a preference page registered for a search provider using the "manage destinations" hyperlink, the framework is not always able to navigate to the search page registered.

This is really minor, so we will investigate it when time permits..

Regards, Dimitar
