m2e allows installation on eclipse 3.5 but project import and update configuration fail due to use of IResourcesetDerived(boolean,IProgressMonitor) introduced in Eclipse 3.6 as part of bug 336411 work. (there maybe other 3.6 API uses, but I did not specifically look). we need to update m2e bundle manifest and feature.xml to specify eclipse 3.6 as the minimal required version.
