* Modify file that is not covered by the workspace (eg. parent pom)
* Synchronize Workspace
* Try to *overwrite* the file, dialog pops up "There are no changes to merge", file stays the same

Expected:
File would be replaced.

Similar problems with the 'Git Staging' view per bug 351341.
